Unlike sandblasting, which creates a harsh, hard-edged finish, we use a brushing process that gently reduces the "slow growth" areas between the dark grain elements, creating a ripple effect that is both pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the touch.

Natural smooth texture. This is our standard finish for painted and stained shutters. Unlike faux wood shutters, a very slight hint of the bookmatched wood can be seen at certain angles – a sign of genuine hardwood construction.

SandBrushed™

Enhanced natural grain texture. We use a special brushing process to bring out the natural hardwood grain. Unlike the harsh sandblasting approach, Sand-brushed™ provides a smoother look and feel.
